Knit one knit one knit something

I've got a pile of fabric sitting on the dining table 'about' to become many different fabulous sewn creations. But I can't get motivated to lift my arse off the couch and away from my knitting needles - or maybe it's the proximity to the heater and my blanket that I can't get away from. Anyway there has been some knitting...

Of the Rowan persuasion. I had a conversation with Brownpants on Saturday morning about how I'm not loving the Rowan cotton and why does the Rowan fan club go on and on about the Rowan? Then I moved off the 1x1 rib band and now I get it...well I kinda get it a bit. I think it would be different if it was wool and not cotton but I get it a bit more now the rib is done.

It might just be the fact it's cotton? It's a bit harder on the hands and I'm nervous about the weight on Sadie's vintage tortoiseshell needles. But now I can see the stripes of pretty colour it's all looking and feeling better.

And about 8 weeks ago we had a bit of a scare with the baby which resulted in me being ordered to sit and rest for 2 days. So I made use of the time making some JJs yarn go from this

to this

and finally last week it ended in this

Gotta love those lolly colours on your knitting wip! I really gotta sign up for a class one day & get over my past knitting failed attempt....your photos are making me green with envy. Btw, you're definitely in with the PIF swap, thanks for signing up! Now I gotta get to work figuring out what to make. :-)

Your yarns look yummy. Thanks for stopping by my blog 'cause now I've found you. That's the only thing about blogging that drives me nuts -- there's SO much out there and I know I have probably just barely scratched the surface. And I see you're PIF'ing with Jade -- you lucky girl -- and she's PIF'd with me! It's a small blogging world. ;-)

I hope everything is OK with the baby now! Hopefully the baby enjoys the quiet, rhythmic clatter of the knitting needles.

Hope the scare is over now... it all feels so fragile until you hold it in your arms. Love the yarn - and the creations! Don't be too hard on yourself for not wanting to get off the couch - you're growing a person!

Thanks girls, everything is fine with the bump now. We ended up having an amnio which was completely freaky but we got the all clear on the results. Thanks for all the love!

I love the pics showing the progress of that yarn, they would look great grouped together somewhere on a wall. So pretty!
And as for the cotton, I LOVE cotton knits, but seeing as I don't actually knit them, I just wear them, then I guess my opinion doesn't really count.
